Are Military Voters Disenfranchised?

An estimated 120,000 active duty service members never received the absentee ballots they requested in the 2010 elections. FRA was instrumental in advancing the Military and Overseas Voter Empowerment (MOVE) Act to address this concern, but problems still exist.

As the 2012 presidential election draws near, the Association is conducting an online survey to gauge the experiences of military absentee voters. All current and former service members and their spouses are invited to participate in this brief survey at www.fra.org/survey.

Survey results will be shared with lawmakers to strengthen FRA’s call for further improvements to the absentee voting process.
