Celebrating Navy Birthdays!

FRA salutes all members of the three Navy components celebrating birthdays in the coming days.

Happy 97^th birthday to the U.S. Navy Reserve!  On March 3^rd, 1915, the U.S. combined 17 state naval militias into a single federal force that continues to serve with honor, courage and commitment today.  

FRA also congratulates the U.S. Navy Band on its 87^th birthday.  Established on March 4, 1925, the Navy Band continues to inspire patriotism, enhance awareness of our Navy and project a positive Navy image at home and abroad.

And last, but not least, FRA salutes the U.S. Navy Seabees, a group founded on March 5, 1942.  The Seabees have been building and fighting for 70 years and their “Can Do” spirit remains as strong as ever.
