Upcoming Navy Birthdays

FRA salutes all Navy Reservists and cosponsored a ceremony today at the Navy Memorial in Washington, D.C., to celebrate the Navy Reserve’s 98th birthday (March 2, 1915). NavyOperational Support Center (NOSC, formerly Naval Reserve Centers) exist in every state, as well as in Guam and Puerto Rico. 

Next week marks the 88^th Birthday of the United States Navy Band that was established on March 4, 1925. The Navy Band continues a proud tradition of ceremonial and funeral support in Washington, D.C., while also inspiring patriotism and enhancing awareness of our Navy at home and abroad.

FRA also salutes the U.S. Navy Seabees, a group founded on March 5, 1942.  The Seabees have been building and fighting for 71 years and their "Can Do" spirit remains as strong as ever.
