VOW Act Website now Available

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has initiated the VOW to Hire Heroes Act website. FRA supported this legislation, sponsored by House Veterans Affairs Committee Chairman Jeff Miller (Fla.), that was enacted into law last year (Public Law 112-56). The website provides comprehensive information on all aspects of the VOW Act to include details about the Veterans Retraining Assistance Program (VRAP), tax credits for employers, vocational rehabilitation services, the transition assistance program (TAP), and Department of Labor resources for veterans. Qualified veterans will be able to apply for the VRAP program, which offers a full year of retraining assistance directly from the website beginning on May 15, 2012.
