Military Spouses in the Civilian Work Force
When a service member
gets orders to a new duty station, it usually means major changes for
the entire family – a new home, new schools for the children, and
new friends, to name a few. A change in assignment for the service member may also mean a
job change for the military spouse.
Finding a new job is a high priority for the more than 55
percent of military spouses whose families are dependent on their
income.
Although military spouses face
some unique challenges when looking for employment, they also have an
arsenal of skills and one-of-a-kind resources to help them find
rewarding employment opportunities around the world.
